  1. Haha.. The salesman just have to live with it 😁 i think both choices are cool. But i would drool everytime i saw the m2 in black with exposed carbon fiber details. Would be very hardcore. But not sure if its too stealth for the track.. Depends on the person in front really.. Even my car can disappear in peoples mirrors 🫠
  2. Black on black is brutal as fuck.. Very aggressive looking.. 🤑
  3. While waiting for the pfeifer suspension to get fully finished, ive started doing some other small work, that i need to have done before next season. So for christmas, i got a small starter pack of carbonfiber laminating. I just finished laying of my first piece which in total should be around the 1.5mm thickness. I have no idea what im doing, so i started out by doing a square of 50x25cm. If it come out to weak and thin, i can then cut it in half and glue them together and they will then be around 3mm thickness. I also got a 10.1inch touchscreen and a raspberry Pi4, which i have been installing an Android system on and mounted on the backside. This i will experiment with, to see if it can run 2 apps, side by side in a hot car. im going to use MHD app for logging the engine parameter, temperatures for oil, water + gearbox RaceChrono Pro for laptiming. So far, the homemade tablet works as intended, but i still need to figure out how to integrate it into the car, hardwire it up and first by then, i can see if it really works. In theory it should works just like a phone, but i fint it more convenient, to have it all in one box hardmounted into the car. Just turn on the raspberry and then you are off to go. I know you can buy a system from AIM who can do that and also replace the OEM speedo, but 300eur vs 3000eur is also something to consider. The weight of the Pi4 + 10.1" screen is 455 grams, so its not the biggest weight penalty for such a system really.
  4. No worries @Fox906bg Swedish, Norwegian, Danish are very close and yet far away of each other. As you say, i can confirm that my german is so bad, that i can't write it in a sense that a german native speaker would be able to decode what im trying to write. I can speak very very little german though, and undertstand a few sentences, mainly when speaking our hobby. So when i'm with German friends, its a a mixture of English and German. I do understand why that some of German people, don't speak english, after watching German TV where it seems, that most tv shows are still dubbed to German language instead of just using german translation text. The reason for me to be on this forum, is really to meet and speak with likeminded people.. Yes, I have some in Denmark too, but you rarely see any of the tracktool builds and not in the range as we see on the regular german F87, F80, F82 or even F2x: I can with 100% certainty say, i have the most build F2x car in Denmark driving on the street and not being a leasing car. Most people lease a car thats already build in DE, and then they drive it a few seasons and then its gone. There are some very few people in DK who do own a higher spec BMW, but they don't tend to do the crazy stuff on a build and throw them around on a track. Its just too much money, with how our cars are taxed and what it cost to have things legal. Its fair that not everyone agree to speak english, and 'm completely OK with people answering me in German, the google translate is OK, to decode the meaning of the subject. But people just having a tantrum over other languages than German written here, is a bit immature in my opinion.
  5. Well, its already on that route.. There was a new member here, Carsten, since a few days before Christmas he hasnt been posting here and now the forum is very silent again.. I have google translate to translate every german site im visiting, it works fairly well and works automatic. Ive also met quite a few members from this forum here, who is mostly germans, been spending a fair amount of time with those guys too. But it helps a lot, that they speak English.
  6. Still circling a away from answering simple questions :-D
  7. A24 MEDIUM COMPOUND FOR SINGLE SEATER, SPORTSCAR AND SIDECAR CIRCUIT SLICK APPLICATIONS. A60 MEDIUM COMPOUND FOR SALOON CAR CIRCUIT SLICK APPLICATIONS. somehow the a64 are not listed on their website. But none of the above are a soft tire though. https://www.avontyres.com/en-gb/tyre-care/motorsport-technical-data/Compounds/ You failed to answer my questions on the formula used for the calculating the axle load vs the tirewidth. A softer compound does not necessaryly means faster lap times. But it overheats faster though. Remember - Softer compound does not always equal faster lap times That is why you rarely see F1 cars use soft tires, when they are on tracks where ambient temp is higher, the tires simply disappears before they even get to get a full lap in. That is also why quali is mostly done in the evening time, when the sun is setting and temperatures starts to lower. Your numbers works only when you take a much larger tire, but you fail to acknowledge that most cars running a 235 tire, can't fit a 285 tire. So your point doesnt really matter, does it? For your scenario it takes a 20% bigger tire to even be able to have the same heat management but again you dont take into consideration that a soft tire, still will run out of optimal temp faster than the harder compound smaller tire. Soft tires are good for wet and cold or very short stints. Medium/hard is good for warm and longer stints. Doesnt matter the tire size, as long you are within reason. Now, please try to show everybody the calculation you did, to say that a 355 tire is the optimal tire for 800kg axle load.
  8. trackdayforum.COM? English? trackdayforum.DE German?
  9. M135i Engine: N55B30O0 The O0-spec N55 is a slightly tougher version of the M0, utilizing a forged crankshaft that it shares with the T0. Additional differences from the M0 include a larger intercooler and radiator. BMW expected owners to beat on these engines a little harder thanks to their availability in M-performance models. All O0-spec engines use the updated electronic wastegate and larger turbocharger. Thanks to these additions and a different ECU calibration, the O0-spec makes about 20 more horsepower and nearly 40 lb-ft of torque over the best M0. M2 Engine: N55B30T0 The T0-spec N55 is the top of the range, the mack-daddy, and the last one produced. Thanks to various updates, it produces the most power out of any factory stock N55, depending on the trim. BMW learned a ton from the S55 engine and stuck those advancements into the T0-spec N55 fitted to the M2. For starters, the T0 uses the rod bearings and pistons from the S55; However, the top piston ring is unique to the M2 to work with the different cylinder linings. 10. All right! Just saw both Misha and a dealer from NL saying its available by Jan, to the public. But the danish official importer hasn't got any confirmation from Nankang yet. So it seems a lot of rumors are being spread or some companies are just able to get them and sell them before any official statement is due. @piwo _ That test doesn't really say much. I really don't believe that the ad09 are faster than AR-1 and I don't believe CR-S are slower than AR1, not when you see other tests and also one in our group drove the AD09 this summer, and he didn't find it faster than AR1, more or less on par. But it is important to know that thread wear is not the same as tire grip. Just look at the thread of the A052, basically the same thread layout as CR-S and is also a TW200, but has nearly the speed as the Direzza. But compound is soft as butter. They really overheat during the summer. In early spring and late fall, they seem to be the best tires, when temps are still low.
  11. It seems that the Nankang CR-S should already be available in Germany by January. Are any of you considering driving the tire for next season?
  12. With tuning you can simply raise the idle speed to 900-1000rpm instead of the 6-700rpm, by then the rattle is mostly gone. Side effect is, you can simply drive the clutch without applying any throttle in stop and go traffic. (döttinger höhe) I would personally take a single mass setup, it just responds better to throttle inputs and holds temperature better than the 550i clutch.
  13. Well, i can definately see your point of view and now i know you also happened to be there this year, so you have already experienced some of it. Yes, key to succes incl. the above statement are also to go on weekdays too. Its a little calmer, and also if the weather forecast is 50/50 that seems to be a good indicator too.. I happen to go when the forecast is not fully aware of sun or rain, that tend to keep some away too. Next year i personally go to other tracks, and then afterwards visit the Nürburgring. Nürburgring isnt the biggest detour for me, even if ive been further south in other countries. Maybe plus 2-300 kms. its not that big og a deal. Yeah lazyness can be a thing.. But i dont think i personally are lazy when it comes to my hobby
  14. Philipp, where you live, you have quite a bit of travel distance to get to the Nordschleife, like i have too. Nordschleife is Nordschleife with all includings both good and bad. I think your decision to buy the card, is both a bold and good move. On one hand, it gets you out and go experience the racetrack. But i will be honest and say that there is also closer tracks to you, who is special too, and can give you a good thrill for far less money too. I know, its not Nordschleife and for many, including me, its a dream to go there. But i think, buying a year ticket for the first season is really bold. Thing is, if you go by the weekend, you can get nearly 80laps just to be even. Ive been at Nos 4 or 5 times this year, i just did around 60 laps or so, because i was doing a lot of stints on GP track too. I also went to other tracks too. So i was nerely out driving on track almost every month. You will have to do a lot of trips and driving in the weekends too. I didnt fancy driving on the track, when there where up to 3 sections at times with yellow flags. You never get into a good groove, because there is always someone overdriving their cars or motorcycles. I was there back in July, and the track was closed for several hours, because a motorcyclist had to be airlifted of the track. It rarely happens on trackdays fx. but that happens too, i know. Point of the whole thing is, i think you would have enjoyed the normal pay by lap card, and then see how you felt about the whole thing. You might not even like it, because you sit in a 40 minute traffic jam to get off the track, because you have to pee or number 2.
  15. Negativity is the easiest condition you can be in. Why does some of you people on this forum choose the easiest way? I think its sad seeing some people here have so strong opinions and bring down a new forum member, who clearly has shared a lot of interesting thoughts. It speaks very loudly about your persona.
  16. Some of my favorite pictures from the 2023 season. Could probably make a calender with these pictures and have that hanging in the garage.
  17. Why not just look the other way? Or does your feelings run through the roof when seeing a headline? This is the most anti social thing ive seen on a public forum
  18. some people don't tend to see me either.. And my car is blue.. really blue.. And wide.. Some people just don't care and a few just dont see you.
  19. One guy in our group also went from endless to Dixcel, more specifif the Beta pads. My best guess are that he simply does not go back to endless.
  20. Here is the video with the car and the owner before it was send into the ditch at the Nürburgring this year..
  21. @erdi24 Thats very good to hear! Damn.. People here really hates Misha Well considering the clientel he is inviting to the nürburgring makes it not really a surprice. If any of you remember an onboard video on Misha's channel from this year, where a young man came from UK in a M340i which had around 600hp, that was one of misha's subscribers so, Misha naturally did a lap in it. When they where going on to the track Misha asked what tire pressure they where running, the guy told him around 1 bar of pressure on the tires.. Later this summer, the same guy ended up in the ditch between Nurburgring entrance and Adenau.. It was video filmed an put online in the Nürburgring Life facebook group. After some another English man towed him free, the guy then kicked his car several times, yelling loudly while laughing and such things and then in true English fashion, he drove away doing a burnout that was about 300 meters long, making so much smoke nobody could see through it.. Misha is one guy, who can truly fuck up the spirit of the Nürburgring, bringing all his Wörthersee subscribers..
  22. Damn! Wanna explain what happened?
